2025 marks Matthew's 15th year in the Baton Rouge Commercial Real Estate market. He has been an Associate Broker at the firm since 2022.

Matthew combines a resilient work ethic with a strong drive to deliver results for his clients. His extensive experience and dedicated approach have contributed significantly to his substantial achievements in both sales and lease volumes throughout his 14 years in the business.

Matthew's expertise extends to representing numerous private investors and excels in delicately managing complex situations such as partnership disputes and inherited property. He approaches his corporate clients with the same level of personalized dedication and commitment. His portfolio of successful partnerships includes esteemed organizations such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, Ashley Furniture, Associated Grocers, The Brighton School, The GEO Foundation, IDEA Charter School, The Ascension Parish School Board, Synergy Bank, French Truck Coffee, and Soji: Modern Asian.

Matthew achieved his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2016, becoming one of the youngest designees in Louisiana at that time. This prestigious designation is held by fewer than 10% of commercial practitioners nationwide. During his CCIM candidacy, he was awarded the 2013 Louisiana CCIM Scholarship. His professional memberships include the Greater Baton Rouge Association of REALTORS Commercial Investment Division (Board Member in '16, '17, & '18), the Louisiana CCIM Chapter, and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

As a developer, Matthew has successfully redeveloped three underutilized buildings in Baton Rouge's Mid City district, revitalizing the area. These projects include the New Orleans-based French Truck Coffee at 2978 Government St, Soji: Modern Asian at 5050 Government St, and Carbo Landscape Architects at 6633 Government St.

As a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA, Matthew earned his B.S. in International Trade & Finance from Louisiana State University in 2010. He was recruited to join Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate, LLC in January of 2011, aiming to learn from its founders, Hank Saurage and Edward Rotenberg, as well as the firm's experienced brokers. Matthew enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Claire, and their two children, Clark (6) and Campbell (4). He also enjoys leisure activities such as salt and freshwater fishing, duck hunting, and attending all LSU sporting events.
